Inspired by his parents, who are also musicians, Christian started playing drums at the age of 13. “They got me started when they bought my first set of drums and my first band was born; I've been playing ever since.” Christian has played just about every musical style from country to funk to hard driving rock and over the years has had the opportunity to play with some of the best musicians in the area. Christian started playing with TOYZ in 1994 and plays Yamaha Rock Tour Custom drums, Zildjian cymbals, Roland electronics, and Vic Firth 2b drumsticks. Christian says thank you to all of our loyal fans that have supported us through the years. YOU ROCK!!!
Richard has been a musician and band-geek since 4th grade and has played just about every instrument at some point, performing most genres of music in every setting imaginable. He's lived in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and several parts of North Carolina. Richard has been a music educator since 1993 and a Digidesign Certified Pro Tools Operator since 2004.
Richard's weapons of choice are a black 1978 Fender Precision running through an Ampeg SVT Classic tube amplifier powering an Ampeg SVT 810e cabinet. He also plays a 2004 MusicMan Stingray, 1986 Kubicki ExFactor, and a 1985 Japanese Fender Precision. Richard endorses S.I.T. strings and plays 105-85-65-45 steel roundwounds.
